CIG Successfully Deploys Guidewire Policy, Billing Solutions

Capital Insurance Group (CIG) and Guidewire Software announce that CIG has successfully deployed Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter as its new underwriting, policy administration, and billing management solution.

CIG deployed PolicyCenter and BillingCenter to replace its previous policy administration and billing management systems. The company needed more agility and flexibility from its foundational platforms to handle its changing business needs and compete more effectively in the marketplace. The company deployed BillingCenter in 2015, and has been live on PolicyCenter for its business owner and commercial auto lines of business since 2016 in all states where it does business.

“The deployment of PolicyCenter and BillingCenter demonstrates our commitment to providing the best technological solutions to our agents and policyholders,” says John Halberstadt, CIO of Capital Insurance Group. “Our customers may not realize they are leveraging Guidewire technology directly, but they can have confidence that we are able to offer them the best products, fastest service, and more self-service online solutions, which will strengthen their partnership with Capital Insurance Group.”

PolicyCenter and BillingCenter are enabling Capital Insurance Group to:

  • Enhance operational efficiencies by standardizing underwriting, policy administration, and billing management on a common platform;
  • Improve the ease of doing business for agents and customers through the enhancement of self-service and collaboration options;
  • Reduce system maintenance costs due to the flexibility of the systems; and
  • Increase its responsiveness to the market by having the ability to more quickly roll out new product and pricing.
