Fluttrbox Announces Successful Pilot Program with Continental Western Group

Staff Writer | September 09, 2016

Fluttrbox, a provider of a software platform leveraging drone technology and analytics for use by P&C insurers in the underwriting, risk assessment and claim adjustment processes, announces the company has launched a successful drone pilot program with Continental Western Group, a commercial lines P&C insurance provider serving 13 states in the Midwest.

“Fluttrbox offers an affordable entry model for P&C insurers looking to utilize drone technology for an immediate ROI because we don’t require customers to buy equipment or hire, license and onboard operators,” says Aristo Mohit-Coker, founder of Fluttrbox. “CWG was excited about the network of experienced and available operators, the image hosting functionality, on-demand accessibility to images and data, and an ability to organize the data in a logical way for the company’s underwriters, claim managers, and adjusters alike. The team at CWG has a profound appreciation for new technology, and we are so pleased they signed on with Fluttrbox for this pilot project.”

Organizing a risk or property assessment workforce across multiple states is a significant challenge for P&C insurers of all sizes. CWG was looking to improve and streamline underwriting and claims processes for the company’s wide range of insurance products, including auto, liability, property and varied commercial packages by utilizing aerial photographic techniques and turned to Fluttrbox for help with the difficult task of not only gathering aerial images, but analyzing returned images and the related data.

“Part of the attraction of a drone program for CWG was the possibility of a reduction in loss adjustment expenses and an increase in underwriting accuracy,” says Doug Pearson, senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for CWG.

Fluttrbox technology consistently removes the complexities of resource allocation for on-site monitoring, including capital expenses required for equipment, talent acquisition, regulatory compliance, information gathering, data storage and management, and documentation.
