ITA Unveils New, Improved Online Buyers’ Guide

From the beginning, the relationship between insurance carriers and software solution providers has been a focus of attention for the Insurance Technology Association. Those relationships are what keeps carriers on top of important trends and headed in the right direction.

That’s why the ITA is proud of the revised ITA Online Buyers’ Guide, which we unveiled this week. The first website the ITA developed, way back in December of ’13 was the Online Buyer’s Guide and our goal has always been to improve it by increasing the offerings for our members.

The new guide isn’t a radical change, but it is better organized and easier to read. There are eight channels that are full of valuable information to assist insurance carriers in their search for more information on ways to improve their operations.

Those channels include:

  • The Big Fix – the popular case study articles that are a regular feature of ITA Pro magazine
  • RFI and RFP Resources – information on the important first steps in the search for a solution partner
  • Vendor Selection Projects and Implementations – industry experts give their views on the post-RFP processes of selecting the right software solution and implementing it
  • Change Management/Process Management – an under-served area of the implementation process provides key points on making sure carriers get the most out of their new technology solutions
  • Legal Center – ideas on what to look for when negotiating a contract with a solution provider and how to react if things go bad
  • Solution Partner Views – thought-provoking articles written by members of the solution provider community that focus on the issues insurers face, not the individual products on the market
  • Featured Solutions – the vendor community has the opportunity to share information about their companies and the solutions they market
  • Whitepapers – in-depth information on industry issues prepared by the solution providers

We invite you to visit the ITA Online Buyers’ Guide once again and give us some feedback. It is not perfect—things change too fast in technology for anything to be perfect for more than 24 hours—but we think you will find the depth and breadth of the information presented to be valuable.

We will keep looking for ways to make this website even better as the months move forward because we believe in the value that the relationship between carriers and vendors has for individual companies and the industry as a whole.
