Klinger Elected AIMS Society President

Bill Sinn | May 22, 2019

Robert Klinger of Klinger Insurance Group, Germantown, Maryland, was elected president of The American Insurance Marketing and Sales (AIMS) Society in Dallas this month at the group's annual meeting. AIMS Society also announced two new board members: Lisa Parry Becker of William B. Parry & Son LTD, Langhorne, Pennsylvania; and Quincy Branch of Branch Benefits Consultants, Las Vegas.

The AIMS Society is the only organization dedicated exclusively to marketing and sales education for the insurance industry. Graduates of the AIMS Society Insurance Success Seminars curriculum earn the industry's only sales-based insurance designation, Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA).

"At the AIMS Society, we want to change insurance through education," says Klinger, who is president and CEO of Klinger Insurance Group. "Our goal is to share practical advice and skills that people can apply immediately to impact their careers. The privilege of serving in a leadership position for the AIMS Society allows me to take part in important decision-making and lobbying."

Klinger adds, "Our over-arching vision is to elevate the insurance professional. That's a lofty target, but we're a passionate group who believes in the good our industry does."

In addition to serving numerous local and regional charitable and business organizations, Klinger served for seven years on the board of directors of the Independent Agents & Brokers of Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. He is a regional director for the organization Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers.

"We know insurance professionals are looking for self-improvement, connections, networking, easy access to resources, and ultimately a competitive edge and financial success. We at the AIMS Society want to be their partners in that journey," says Parry Becker, vice president of William B. Parry & Son LTD.

Parry Becker also serves on the business committee of the ID Federation, a nonprofit coalition of insurance industry leaders committed to providing SignOn Once, a secure and efficient password management method for insurance business. In 2010, Parry Pecker served as the chair of the Applied User Group (then known as ASCnet) and remains active in the industry. She is an advocate for community service and serves on two Quaker boards within Bucks County.

"We believe skill development requires practical training," says Branch, president and CEO of Branch Benefits Consultants. "We at the AIMS Society are transformational leaders in that we embrace and effect change.  We want to give back to the industry that has given us so much."

Branch is a member of the National African American Insurance Association and the Nevada Independent Insurance Agents. He has served on both the Nevada Young Agents Committee and the IIABA National Young Agents Committee. He has been named Nevada Young Agent of the Year and Nevada Person of the Year. He also has been listed among the Insurance Industry Hot 100 and the Top 40 Young Stars in [the] Insurance Industry.
