Staff Writer | May 17, 2017

Patriot Underwriters (PUI), a subsidiary of Patriot National, announces the promotion of John Rearer to Chief Executive Officer.

“As President of PUI, John has been an outstanding leader with a track record of successfully managing PUI’s general agency, program administration, and business process outsourcing divisions,” says Steven M. Mariano, chairman, president and CEO of Patriot National. “As CEO, John will play a greater role in executing PUI’s strategic initiatives designed to exceed the expectations of current clients and to attract new customers to PUI. I believe he will continue to serve Patriot National well in his role as CEO of PUI.”

Rearer brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Patriot Underwriters in 2005 as vice president of underwriting and has served as its president since 2014. Prior to joining Patriot, Rearer served as vice president of preferred employers group, a managing general agency in Miami. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Auburn University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
