30% of Insurers Plan to Expand Use of Blended IT Staffing, Novarica Profiles 41 Vendor Solution Providers

Insurance IT organizations and those who run them face numerous challenges, including the need for IT resource capacity and specialized skills. It's no surprise that most insurer IT groups use a "blended staffing" model that combines internal staff with external resources.  30% of insurers are planning to increase their use of blended staffing in 2019 according to research and advisory firm Novarica's Insurer IT Budgets and Projects 2019 report. The new Novarica Market Navigator report, IT Services Providers for Insurers, profiles 41 IT services providers in this space to help North American insurers understand and compare their options.

"The macro trends driving modernization, innovation, and change in the industry are also driving the need for insurance IT organizations to invest in skill sets that are often in short supply," said Paul Vancheri, Vice President of Research and Consulting, and co-author of Novarica's new report. "At best, this is a heavy tax on even the most well-run IT organizations. At worst, it's a burden that many IT organizations are (and will continue) struggling with. One way to begin addressing some of these challenges is for IT organizations to enlist the help of a service partner; IT services partners can be useful-if not vital-in this effort."

Providers profiled include: Accenture, Ascend, Atos, Birlasoft, Capgemini, Centric, CGI, Cognizant, Deloitte, DXC, Ebix, Equisoft, EY, Genpact, HCL, Hexaware, HTC, IBM, Infosys, Jarus, Kumaran, LTI, Majesco, MFXchange, Mindtree, Mphasis, msg, NIIT, NTT Data, PwC, RCG, Silver Tree, Slalom, Synechron, TCS, Trianz, ValueMomentum, Virtusa, Wipro, Xceedance, and Zensar Technologies.
